Public urged to get information on govt functioning under RTI

Puducherry Lt Governor Iqbal Singh has urged the public to get information on functioning of the government with the help of the Right to Information (RTI) Act 2005.
   
A press release from G Theva Needhi Dhas, Special Secretary to the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, said the Lt Governor also called upon authorities to share information with the public to bring about transparency and accountability in the working of the government.

The release was issued in connection the RTI week celebrations in the Union Territory.
