Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today spoke to Arunachal governor JJ Singh and enquired about chief minister Dorjee Khandu after a helicopter carrying him and four others went missing.
Soon after his return from Bundelkhand in Uttar Pradesh where he attended a rally, the Prime Minister was briefed by national security advisor Shiv Shankar Menon about the search operations being carried out on either side of India-Bhutan border.
The prime minister has spoken to the Arunachal Pradesh governor and enquired about the chief minister, prime minister's media advisor Harish Khare said.
A helicopter carrying Khandu and four others went missing this morning shortly after take-off from Tawang, giving rise to apprehensions about their fate with search operations yielding no results so far.
