Pay Rs 10 lakh each to kin of those killed in Bhopal: Congress

A compensation of Rs 10 lakh each should be paid to the kith and kin of those who have died in the December 1984 Bhopal gas disaster, the Madhya Pradesh Congress said today.

Besides this compensation, a sum of Rs 5 lakh each should be paid to those whose health had been affected by the industrial disaster, state Congress spokesman Arif Masood said while talking to PTI here.

The Congress leader said he had written a letter about his demands to party President Sonia Gandhi.

Masood appealed to the media to help the victims of the disaster by ensuring a proper and judicious coverage.
