Narendra Modi meets Mozambique president

A detailed discussion was held between the two leaders on areas of interest where partnership can be formed between Mozambique and Gujarat.

Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi today met Mozambique President Armando Emilio Guebuza and discussed various avenues of partnership in different sectors.

A detailed discussion was held between the two leaders on areas of interest where partnership can be formed between Mozambique and Gujarat, a government officials said.

Mozambique president is on a visit to Gujarat with a 90 member delegation and has invited the industrialists from the state to make investment in various fields in his country.

Modi presented outline of progress made by the state in the field of power generation, port infrastructure, agriculture growth, water management and human resource development.

Modi also invited the president to come to the Vibrant Gujarat Global investors' summit to take place in January 2010.

Earlier, in the day Mr Guebuza visited Sabarmati Ashram from where Mahatma Gandhi conducted a peaceful freedom movement.
