Minor sexually abused by 50-year-old man

The Satellite police arrested one Purshottam Khamar(50) for the alleged attempt to rape as well as molestation of a seven-year-old girl and a resident of Ranujanagar in Satellite. The complaint was filed after the girl complained of abdominal pain.

According to case details, the minor girl was allegedly lured by Khamar to his house.   Khamar later on allegedly tried to rape the girl and even hurt her. The girl soon stopped going to school as she suffered from severe body pain. On consulting a doctor it was found that the girl had injuries on her private parts.

"The girl identified the house, where Khamar sexually abused her after luring her," a police source told DNA.  The victim has been sent for a medical check-up at Sola Civil hospital. Khamar has been arrested by the Satellite police.  The parents of the girl work as sweepers in a nearby temple and the girl is a student of a private school. The mother of the girl filed the police complaint on Saturday.
