Mercury falls to 41.7°C in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad still remained the hottest city in Gujarat, states the Met department. On Saturday, the meteorological department in Ahmedabad has made a forecast for maximum temperature of 42°C.

With this, maximum temperatures over Ahmedabad for April stayed around normal (mean temperature). In March temperatures rose 3 to 4 degrees above normal between March 16 and 19. In April, as compared to the normal mean monthly maximum temperature of 39.9º C, the actual mean monthly maximum temperature was 39.72 ºC, states the Met department.

Elsewhere in the state, weather remained dry. "On Thursday, day temperatures fell in parts of Kutch and changed little in remaining parts of the region. It was above to appreciably above normal in parts of Saurashtra, above normal in North Gujarat region and normal in rest parts of the region," states the website.
