Maoists burn mobile tower, generator room in Bihar

Armed Maoists burnt the mobile tower of two private telecom companies at Chiraiya in Bihar's East Champaran district, the police said today.

Around 50 ultras raided Mirpur village last night, sprayed petrol and burnt the generator room adjacent to the tower, sources said, adding the tower was also partially damaged in the fire.
     
Senior police officers reached the spot this morning to oversee the combing operation in the area to nab the Maoists, they said.
