A man, who allegedly murdered his wife's 'paramour' by running over him with his car in the national capital, was arrested today, police said.

The incident was reported from Y-Block of Outer Delhi's Mangolpuri on November 13. The accused identified as Pawan Kumar was arrested from M2K Rohini where he had come to meet his friend and some lawyers.

Pawan Kumar allegedly ran his car over Sanjeet Kumar (28), whom he suspected of having an illicit relationship with his wife, deputy commissioner of police (Outer) Atul Katiyar said.

Sanjeet had allegedly developed intimacy with Pawan's wife Parul. Pawan had taken away Parul's phone as she allegedly used to talk to Sanjeet.

"Pawan found out that his wife had taken another mobile phone and used to talk to Sanjeet whenever she got time. On three occasions, her phone was taken away by the Garg family but they did not mend their ways," Katiyar said.

On November 13, the Garg family had gone to Balaji Hospital in Paschim Vihar where Parul was undergoing treatment.

On their way back home, Sanjeet allegedly followed them and banged his fists on the driver side window glass of their car.

When both the vehicles reached near the Mangolpuri Y-Block, Pawan allegedly banged his car on Sanjeet's motorcycle deliberately in a fit of rage.
