ShareNoida: A man allegedly shot dead his octogenarian father and set him ablaze in Dankore area here today.
Neighbours informed the police of the incident after they heard the gunshot and saw the old man burning, DSP RK Singh said.
However, by the time police reached the spot the man had died, he said.
The deceased has been identified as Mangat Chand (80).
A case has been registered and efforts are on to trace his son Ramesh Chand, who is absconding, the DSP said.
