An Lashker-e-Taiba operative was arrested along with a loaded Chinese-made pistol in Ganderbal district today, a police spokesman said.
Abdul Rasheed Bhat, a resident of Wangat-Kangan, was arrested by police following specific information from Ganderbal, 24km from here, this afternoon, the spokesman told PTI.
He said a Chinese made pistol, its one magazine and seven live cartridges were recovered from the possession of the arrested militant.
A case under arms Act and unlawful activities Act was registered against Bhat.
Meanwhile, the spokesman said, police also arrested a militant supporter from Sopore township of Baramulla district, 55km from here, today. The arrest was made when the man was carrying ammunition for militants in the town, the spokesman said.
