The US consulate in Chennai will soon star 'Know US' clubs in schools and colleges in South India to highlight the US-India partnership through debates and dramas involving teachers and students.
The first such club would be inaugurated here on July 27 at a private school, where the consulate would organise a day-long event called ‘Experience America’ to showcase educational prospects in that country, a consulate press release said.
The ‘Experience America’, planned by the consulate would showcase the educational resources including the American library andthe US-India Education Foundation (USIEF);.
The day long event would have advising sessions on higher education in the US and student visas and screenings of American documentaries. The day will also feature drawing, poster, quiz and elocution competitions for school and university students.
