An organisation of Kashmiri Pandits today threatened to launch an agitation from December 11 this year, if the government fails to implement prime minister Manmohan Singh's special employment package for the educated youth among the community by that time.

"The government has already announced that 6000 youths of the community will be provided employment in the state under the PM's special package but there has been no forward movement in this matter," Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) president R K Bhat told reporters here.

YAIKS will resort to a mass agitation from December 11 if the government by that time fails to issue appointment orders to the beneficiaries of the package, he said.

"We shall not hesitate to go to any extent in the agitation. It will be a peaceful agitation in the first phase of 10 days from December 11 and then the modes of other agitational programmes will be decided after December 21", he said.

Prime minister Manmohan singh had announced the package for the educated youth among the community in the course of a visit to the state during his last tenure.
