Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president M Karunanidhi's wife Rajathiammal today denied reports that a person named Ramesh, arrested in connection with an alleged land grabbing case, had worked as an aide for her.

"No such person named Ramesh had worked for me as an aide at any point of time and I have no connection with these reports," a party release quoting her said.

Police said yesterday in Tiruchirappalli that Ramesh was arrested following a complaint from one Nirmala Devi and 31 others that he had allegedly forcibly evacuated them from their homes in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Chennai on the day of Pongal in 2007.
