Jammu and Kashmir police to install CCTVs to monitor traffic

As many as 212 high-end CCTVs will be installed for the purpose of security and traffic monitoring in various districts.

Aiming at monitoring traffic rule violations and safeguard public areas, the Jammu and Kashmir police will install CCTV cameras at key locations in major towns across the state, officials said.
    
As many as 212 high-end CCTVs will be installed for the purpose of security and traffic monitoring in various districts, they said.
    
The anti-ice and anti-mist cameras will also have night vision recording feature, the officials said. The police department has invited tenders from private parties for supply, installation and commissioning of the CCTV surveillance system in various districts of the state, the officials said.
