With NDA deciding to boycott Home Minister P Chidambaram in Parliament on the 2G issue, Law Minister Salman Khurshid today came in support of his Cabinet colleague asking the opposition parties to allow the former Finance Minister to put across his views in the House.

"If they (NDA) have a problem, they should ask him to share it with them. He has friends on the other side of the House as well. I think it will  be a little bit unkind if those friends don't give him a chance at least to explain what he wants to say," he said.

He said Chidambaram has friends on the other side of the house as well. "It will be uncharitable and unkind if those friends don't give him a chance to at least to explain what he wants to say," he said.

Khurshid said while Chidambaram has maintained a "very careful silence" on the issue, "I am sure Parliament wants him to share with them what he knows and what they want to know... there will be a great loss if they boycott him."

In escalation of confrontation, the NDA earlier in the day decided to target Chidambaram by boycotting him and not allowing him to speak during the Winter session beginning tomorrow, holding him also responsible for the 2G scam.
