Zaheer Rana, who had paid Rs1.35 crore as income tax on earnings from his multi-level marketing schemes when he went to jail five years back, is not worried about funds for his new venture. He is ready to launch his new ‘upgraded’ multi-level marketing schemes under the new brand name, Dorado.
“I am not worried about funding. I have sufficient cash to start my new business,” said Rana. Rana plans to start, in a couple of months, his new business of multi-level marketing in which cash will not rotate.

In the multi-level marketing schemes run by his firm, Remo Marketing, before he went to jail, cash transactions were involved. At that time, no product or brand was sold or marketed; all that changed hands was cash.

“I have learnt from my past experiences. Hence, this time I will sell vouchers against cash. Through these vouchers, customer will able to buy goods of thousands of brands that are sold at shopping malls. In some successful multi-level marketing schemes run by others, they market only one brand, whose goods may be very costly. But my schemes will let customers buy from a wide range of brands,” Rana said.

Rana claims his new business model will benefit the customer, the retail chains with whom he has tied up as well as the customers who will earn even as they spend.

“The retail chains with whom I have tied up will get higher footfalls, while customers will get commission for new members they bring. My revenue will come from both. The retail chains will offer me huge discount while customers will bring me more customers and I will get a small commission out of it. My new business plan will succeed with the help of the masses,” he said.
