Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today urged journalists to opt for detective journalism in order to ascertain the truth.
Addressing a gathering after launching the Chandigarh edition of a local newspaper, Hooda said journalists should highlight problem of masses, so that the credibility of newspapers could be maintained.
Hooda maintained that journalism had a long illustrious history, as it had played a pivotal role during the freedom struggle and contributed a lot in development and reshaping the country and maintaining its unity and integrity.
The chief minister gave a clarion call to media persons that they should highlight the problem, especially of rural areas.
