Sathyamangalam forest officials arrested four persons and seized an elephant tusk from them.
The forest officials said a body of a 25-30-year-old male elephant was found with its two tusks cut off from the trunk
few days ago in Moolakalmaduvu forest area in Basuvanapuram forest range in the district.
One person was arrested after the incident and on questioning him three more persons were nabbed.
