Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, who had participated in reality show Bigg Boss 5, will be in town soon to meet the eunuchs who were injured in the fire at east Delhi area.

"I will be in Delhi day after tomorrow to meet my sisters who received injuries in the fire at Nand Nagri area. I lost my Guru's guru who had participated in the congregation there where the fire happened," Laxmi said.

The transgender-activist had said the purpose of her participation in the reality show was to highlight the cause of her community.

"I was supposed to be a part of that congregation today. My flight tickets were booked for today afternoon. Should I say I was lucky or unlucky as I got saved but my Guru's guru died in that episode (fire).

"The government is holding us responsible for the episode. I wish to find out how and why. I wish to see if my sisters are getting the correct treatment at the hospital or not and I also want to know about the NOC (no objection certificate) that we are being accused of not having availed before the congregation happened."

She said, "Its a shame that transgenders are still being discriminated by the society. I do not know how long will it take for the people to realise that we are part of them."

Fourteen eunuchs were killed and over 40 others injured last night when a major fire swept through the community hall in Nand Nagri where the congregation of the community was taking place.
