BJP leader Uma Bharti today advised AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh that before attacking the RSS, he should read the letter of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru appealing swayamsewaks to save Kashmir Valley.

"Digvijay Singh must read the letter of Pandit Nehru appealing RSS volunteers to extend support in saving the Valley in Kashmir," Bharti said while addressing a function organised on the occasion of 136th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

She said Singh should also know that impressed with the work of swayamsewaks of RSS, Pandit Nehru had invited them to participate in the Republic Day parade.

Referring to role of RSS volunteers in relief operation during recent Fatehpur rail accident, the BJP leader said swayamsewaks had done commendable work in time of crises.

"Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev should take pride that they are said of having connection with the RSS," she said while referring towards Congress leader's statement of RSS hand behind the social activist and yoga guru's campaigns.

Bharti said Sardar Patel's work was still incomplete. "If Sardar Patel had become the first PM of the country, there would have been no division of Kashmir and agriculture would have been the main profession instead of industriasation," she said.
