Investigators are yet to make any headway in the probe into the murder of the close aide of slain Ujjain professor HS Sabbharwal's son in the capital even as Delhi Police chief YS Dadwal today inspected the crime site.

Senior police officials said no one was excluded from the list of suspects as of now as investigators were grappling to find out what was the motive behind the murder of Parminder Kumar, an accountant, on Thursday night near Khalsa college in Delhi University's North campus.

Kumar was stabbed to death while he was returning home after pasting posters on the campus for a candle-light vigil to protest against the recent acquittal of six ABVP activists in connection with Sabharwal's murder three years ago.

Dadwal visited the crime spot near Khalsa college where Kumar's body was found along with Joint Commissioner Karnal Singh and Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Sagarpreet Hooda.

Police have declared a reward of Rs 50,000 besides asking its elite Special Cell to coordinate with local police to crack the case.

"We have not reached any conclusion. We cannot say who is the suspect or who is not the suspect now. Probe is on," Karnal Singh told reporters when asked whether Himanshu was a suspect in the case.

Himanshu was questioned for the second day yesterday for three hours to ascertain the sequence of events.

Police had also questioned Pooja, a documentary filmmaker, and Saif, who were with Himanshu and Parminder, on the fateful day.

"These three were the persons who were seen last with Parminder. So we had questioned them," the official said.

The victim's brother Kailash Singh had yesterday alleged that Himanshu was "hiding" information from investigators.

"My brother had gone to Jabalpur to get some documents in connection with the case of the Professor Sabharwal on July 16. After coming back from the trip, he was tense and very disturbed. I was shocked that Himanshu did not mention all these things in his statement to the police," Kailash claimed.

Himanshu's father HS Sabharwal, Head of the Political Science Department of Madhav College, Ujjain, died in August, 2006, after a fracas in the college over student union elections when he was allegedly beaten up by the ABVP activists.
