CRPF trooper killed, 14 injured as bus overturns in Chhattisgarh

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper was killed and at least 14 others injured Sunday when their bus met with an accident in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, police said.

"A bus filled with CRPF men overturned when the driver swerved to try to save a herd of cows that came across the road near forested village Jewaram in Dantewada district," officials at police headquarters here told IANS.

The accident that took place some 400 km south of capital Raipur.

Dantewada district authorities had brought the injured to Dantewada town, from where they were referred to Maharani Hospital at Jagdalpur, the headquarters of Bastar district.
