Results for five seats of principal category were declared of which four seats were won by candidates supported by the state principal federation and only one seat of Group 2 was bagged by a rebel candidate.

Counting was on in elections to 25 seats of representatives in 10 categories of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), while results of 10 seats had been declared when reports last came in. Results for five seats of principal category were declared of which four seats were won by candidates supported by the state principal federation and only one seat of Group 2 was bagged by a rebel candidate.
However, Alka Patel and Vinod Patel, candidate supported by the Ahmedabad city principals' federation lost in the election and Vishnu Patel, state principals' federation supported candidate won the seat. It is significant that Ahmedabad City has maximum votes in the state, but its candidate failed to win. Similarly, it was believed that Alka Patel, sister of a local leader in the city BJP, was getting help from her brother, but she couldn't win the seat.
Jitendra Vala from Group-1 won the seat, Navinchandra Patel from Group-2 was the winner in the group. Navinchandra Patel is the only rebel candidate who has won the seat. Winning candidates from Group 4 and 5 are Shailesh Patel and Balwantrai Dave respectively.
While Ghanshaym Patel, candidate for the one seat of Post Basic (Uttat Buniyadi) Schools Principal category has won the seat, Nidat Barot, won the seat of B Ed college principal category.
