Chiranjeevi re-elected Praja Rajam president

The filmstar-turned-politician was the unanimous choice for the top PRP post with three sets of nominations being filed and seconded by several party leaders.

Amid jubilation of party functionaries, Chiranjeevi was today unanimously re-elected as President of Praja Rajam Party (PRP) at the ongoing plenary of the regional outfit here.

The filmstar-turned-politician was the unanimous choice for the top PRP post with three sets of nominations being filed and seconded by several party leaders.

Uma Malleswara Rao, returning officer for the election, announced the result.

Scores of PRP leaders and activists congratulated Chiranjeevi on his re-election. Accepting the greetings, the actor-legislator vowed to take the two-year-old party to new heights.

"My responsibility grew with today's re-election. I will work with honesty and sincerity. I would strive to strengthen the party and live up to your expectations," he said.
