Pakistan seems to have allowed Chinese troops along the Line of Control in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), alarming the Indian army guarding the porous border, which is often used by the Pakistani army to infiltrate militants into Kashmir.

“We hear many people today who are concerned about the fact that if there was to be hostilities between us and Pakistan, what would be the complicity of the Chinese. Not only because they are in the neighborhood but also as they are actually stationed and present on the Line of Control [on the Pakistani side],” Lieutenant General Parnaik, general officer commanding-in-chief  of the sensitive Northern Command said.

The general made these remarks while  addressing a  seminar on ‘Pakistan occupied Kashmir—internal dynamics and externalities’ organised by department of strategic and regional studies in Jammu University last week.
