CAG meets CBI officers

The Comptroller and Auditor General Vinod Rai today met CBI Director AP Singh and other senior officers of the agency at its headquarters here.

Rai who stayed for about two hours gave a talk on probity in public life and interacted with the CBI officers on a range of issues related to economic and white collar crime.

During the closed-door meeting, Rai, whose tenure would be known for bringing into light high-profile scams like CWG, 2G, illegal mining and NRHM, answered questions raised by CBI officers, CBI sources said.

When contacted, CBI spokesperson Dharini Mishra said it was an informal talk by eminent guests who are routinely
invited.
