BJP president Nitin Gadkari today formed a five-member team of party leaders which will visit riot-affected areas of Hyderabad as soon as the curfew is relaxed to get first-hand information of the situation there.

Gadkari has selected BJP spokespersons Prakash Jawadekar
and Nirmala Sitharaman along with party secretary Dr Lakshman,
Prahlad Joshi (Lok Sabha MP from Dharwad), and B Shanappa
(Karnataka Rajya Sabha MP) for the team, party sources said.

Jawadekar will be heading the team and it will go to Hyderabad when curfew is relaxed in the city.

BJP had earlier demanded a judicial probe into the reported attacks on temples and cows during the riots in Hyderabad alleging they were pre-meditated and unprovoked.

During Bareilly riots last month, a three-member BJP team consisting of Yogi Adityanath, Maneka Gandhi and Rajendra
Agarwal (Meerut Lok Sabha MP) had gone there, but it was not
allowed to enter the city.
