BJP complains bogus voter-registration in Mumbai's Mira Bhayender

Alleging that 9000 bogus voters had been registered in the Mira-Bhayander township, on the outskirts of Mumbai, BJP Monday demanded immediate suspension of election officials who were involved in the voter registration process.

Party spokesperson Madhav Bhandari said, in one house belonging to one Shetty, twenty persons, including names of Manish Singh, Ravi Gowda are found. While in the house of Pujari, names like D'souza, Naidu, Shetty, Gupta are found.

Similarly, on the address of 'Pump house' in Shanti Nagar Mira Road, 950 voters have been registered.

He said 30 per cent of the voters are bogus  and demanded immediate cancellation of the voter's list.
