BJP activists from Kashmir today took out a rally here in support of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's three-day fast for peace and communal harmony in Gujarat.

Dozens of party activists assembled near Pratap Park, raising slogans in favour of communal peace.

BJP's state vice-president and Kashmir incharge CP Ganga said under the leadership of Modi, Gujarat had become the "best governed state in the country".

"The 11 per cent growth achieved during the last 10 years in Gujarat and development of the state has become a role model. It is now a subject of studies conducted by foreign universities," Ganga told reporters.

"We appeal to everyone, including the separatists, to join the mainstream and contribute in creating a peaceful environment in Kashmir which will lead to development here," he added.
