Bihar unit JD(U) general secretary and spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Sinha today resigned from his posts on moral ground, three days after an income tax raid on the premises of a real estate company here.
Party sources said Sinha sent in his resignation letter to state JD(U) president Vashistha Narayan Singh earlier in the day.
The JD(U) leader was not available for comment on his resignation.
The income tax sleuths had raided six premises of a real estate company in the state capital on April 28 last for tax evasion.
Though the JD(U) leader was reported to be one of the six directors of the firm in a section of media, he had denied any involvement with the firm.
