Another scorching day in Delhi

The maximum was recorded at 43.8 degree Celsius, down from yesterday's 45.2 degrees while the minimum was 30.3 degrees.

Delhiites had to bear the scorching heat for another day today with mercury hovering around 44 degree Celsius, which is three notches above normal.

The maximum was recorded at 43.8 degree Celsius, down from yesterday's 45.2 degrees while the minimum was 30.3 degrees.

The humidity oscillated between 25 and 53 per cent.

Palam, where the IGI airport is located, recorded a maximum of 44.1 degrees while the minimum was 32 degrees.
     
The Weatherman has predicted partly cloudy sky tomorrow and said temperature is likely to oscillate between 43 and 30 degree Celsius.

"There may be dust storm tomorrow as well," MeT officials said
   
Delhiites have been battling intense heat for the past few days and the maximum had touched 45.4 degrees last week, the season's highest.

The last time the temperature surpassed the 44-degree mark in the month of May was in 2006, when the seventh day of the month recorded 44.5 degrees.

The previous highest in the decade was recorded on May 19, 2002 when it touched 46 degree Celsius.
   
The all-time record for the month was on May 29, 1944 when the mercury touched 47.2 degrees.
