Andhra Pradesh revenue has fallen severely due to the ongoing agitations in the state, chief minister K Rosaiah said here today.
Rosaiah, who arrived here on a day’s visit to the East Godavari district to participate in various programmes in the district, told reporters that the state revenue has fallen alarmingly due to the agitations for a separate Telangana, and on the other hand for united Andhra Pradesh.
Around Rs100 crore revenue was lost per day, and a detail information will be available shortly, the chief minister said.
Some of the industrialists, IT companies and also film industry are in a dilemma, and have expressed their desire to shift industries to other states.
"The government is ready to provide all protection, but some companies are not showing interest to stay back," he said.
"We (AP Congress leaders) will abide by the decision taken by the high command over the Telangana issue," he said.
The chief minister urged the agitators not to damage any public and private properties, and not to take law and order in their hands.
