The AIIMS today filed its report in a Delhi court on medical conditions of Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh, an accused in the 2008 cash-for-vote scam, saying he was hospitalised with it due to his fluctuating health.

Singh was admitted in AIIMS following complications related to post-renal transplant, diarrhoea, urinary tract infection, diabetes, dehydration and hypothyroid hypertension, Sanjay Gupta, Additional Professor of the Department of Nephrology at AIIMS, said in his report.

The two-page report, submitted before Special Judge Sangita Dhingra Sehgal, said Singh was suffering from multiple health problems.

"The S Creatinine is fluctuating between 1.3-1.6 mg/dl (normal for him is 0.8-0.9 mg/dl). He (Amar Singh) has persistent tachycardia (heart rate exceeding normal range).

"He continues to have vomiting and diarrhoea for which the gastroenterologist has suggested automatic function tests and endoscopy with mucosal biopsy," the report said.

The doctor said any kidney transplant patient, showing more than 30 per cent acute rise in S Creatinine level, needs hospitalisation.
