Alert sounded in Bihar over Ayodhya verdict

A fresh alert was sounded across Bihar after the Supreme Court paved the way for the Allahabad high court today to deliver its judgement in the 60-year-old Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit.

"A fresh alert has been sounded in Bihar in the wake of the development", DGP Neelmani said.

Superintendents of police were asked to provide additional security in communally-sensitive areas.

Patrolling will be further intensified at important places across the state, Neelmani said, adding activities of suspected trouble-makers was under close surveillance.

Paving the way for the Allahabad high court to deliver its judgement in the title suit, the Supremre Court today dismissd the plea for deferment of the verdict.
