Former telecom minister A Raja and other high-profile 2G case accused today complained to the court about the quality of food served to them in Tihar prison.

"The food served to us is not of good quality," Raja complained to special CBI judge O P Saini.

The 47-year-old DMK MP also found support from his personal secretary RK Chandolia and former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura.

The lawyer of co-accused Shahid Usman Balwa, promoter of Swan Telecom, seconded the complaint which prompted the court to order that they be provided food as per the provisions of the jail manual.

Raja, Chandolia, Behura and Balwa are in judicial custody in connection with the 2G spectrum allocation scam.

Raja resigned in November last year as telecom minister and was arrested by the CBI here on February 2, along with Behura and Chandolia. Balwa was arrested in Pune on February 8.

The CBI has filed a charge sheet against nine people and three firms in the case.
