20-year-old aspiring model gang-raped in Ahmedabad

A 20-year-old aspiring model from Damnagar village near Amreli district was allegedly gang-raped by two persons, police said today.

"An aspiring model from Damnagar village on arriving in Ahmedabad had met one Kajal who offered her a rented accommodation. But after a dispute few days later, she was raped by the latter's boy friend Mayur and one of his accomplice," they said.

"The girl in her complaint has alleged that she was beaten by Kajal and her two male friends, before being raped. Kajal and her two accomplices also had snatched Rs10,000 from her," they said adding that the accomplices of Kajal were sons of one Jeetubhai.

"After the fight she had gone to have snacks when Mayur alongwith one of his accomplices approached her," police said.

"The duo took her to a flat on a motorbike belonging to one Jeetubhai in Sola area of the city, who was known to Mayur and Kajal," they said.

"The girl in her complaint has stated that she was raped by the duo in the flat," they added.

A case has been registered at the Sola police station and investigations are underway.
