The victim had allegedly not paid money for jewellery that they had sold to the Vadodara man.
Kagdapith police on Thursday arrested two jewellers and two others of Mansa in Gandhinagar district for allegedly kidnapping a jeweller of Vadodara.

The victim was identified as Thakor Soni, 50, a jeweller of Vadodara while the accused were identified as Raju Soni and Kalpesh Patel, who run a jewellery show-room in partnership in Mansa and their two friends.
Kagdapith police said Thakor had developed business relationship with Raju and Kalpesh and he used to buy jewellery from them. Six months ago, Thakor requested the Mansa jewellers to lend him Rs5 lakh and they obliged.
However, Thakor did not return the money within the stipulated time. He asked for more time to repay the loan but Raju and Kalpesh refused to grant more time.
Later Thakor stopped answering phone calls of his creditors. Raju and Kalpesh made a trip to Vadodara to find out Thakor but in vain. On Tuesday, Raju enquired at Thakor's ancestral home in Surat but he remained untraceable. He decided to return home and took a Kadi-bound Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) bus from Surat.
Coincidentally, Thakor, his brother Kiran and nephew Sushil boarded the same bus from another stop in Surat. Sushil was suffering from stomach-ache and they were on their way to a hospital in Kadi.
Raju saw them and identified Thakor. He called Kalpesh to remain present at the GSRTC bus depot in Ahmedabad. Accordingly, Kalpesh and his two friends reached there with in a car. As soon as Thakor got down from the bus, they got him in a car and drove away at 2:00am on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Kiran called police and lodged a complaint of kidnapping. Kagdapith police traced the car to Mansa.
