A local passenger train collided head on with the Guwahati-Bengaluru Express at Jamirghata in West Bengal's Malda district this evening, Eastern Railway sources said.

A local passenger train collided head on with the Guwahati-Bengaluru Express at Jamirghata in West Bengal's Malda district this evening, Eastern Railway sources said.

The engine of the Express train derailed and fell on the opposite tracks as it collided with the Ajimganj Passenger train.

Information about any casualty was not immediately available, the sources said.
