ShareVellore (TN): Eighteen persons were injured in a multiple collision involving three buses near here today, police said. A Chennai-bound private bus from Coimbatore rammed into a stationary container lorry at 4.30 pm due to thick mist.
As the passengers were being shifted, a Tamil Nadu state corporation bus hit the private vehicle and another bus hit the corporation bus. The injured were admitted to hospital. Meanwhile, a lorry carrying liquor bottles overturned near Arcot. The lorry driver and cleaner escaped unhurt.
