While most Congressmen have been saying that there was no ‘Modi factor’ in Assembly elections, chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday said that Modi factor has worked in favour of Congress.

The more BJP promoted Modi, the better was the consolidation of minority and other votes in Congress party’s favour, Gehlot said.

When asked who would be the next chief minister in case his party wins the elections, he said that the next chief minister was not an issue, and presently, the party’s focus was to win all the seats in the state. Gehlot said that in Gujarat itself, Modi had not given ticket to any of minority candidate which clearly showed his anti-minority sentiments. “They just believe in misleading people. What they are doing is dangerous,” said Gehlot.
