Wife of late Jagjit Singh Anand, former Yeshwant Club president, on Thursday said that she is being threatened by her son. Gajendra Pal Kaur (68) broke down in tears before the media at a press conference.

Gajendra Pal said,” We are indirectly being threatened by Rupinder. Some persons came to me and said--Tumhari Jaan ko Khatra hai. My son has made thinggs miserable for me”.

Rupinder Singh and mother Gajendra Pal have been at loggerheads over the property of Jagjit Singh which according to reports amounts of Rs 70 crore. However, Gajendra Pal denies such estimation but fails to give the exact worth of the property.

Gajendra Pal lives with her daughter in law Manmeet Kaur Anand, widow of her younger son Jaspreet Singh Anand  and 14-year-old grandson Angad.

According to her advocate Abhay Jain, the next hearing in the criminal suit will be held on February 12 and 13. Next hearing in the civil suit regarding the property dispute will be heard on January 22.
“ I fear more for Angad. We do not feel secure even as he goes to school or for play”, added Gajendra Pal.

Jagjit Singh Anand had been elected as President of the prestigious Yeshwant Club for three terms (1980-1982, 1996-1998, 2002-2004) and had also been an important part of Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association as the Chairman of the Construction Committee. Kaur said that she, her daughter in-law and grandson are being threatened by her elder son Rupinder Singh Anand.
