A man killed his wife allegedly over a petty dispute at Bakulaha railway station, a senior police officer said in Ballia on Monday.

Manjeet Shah, who hails from Chappra district in Bihar, arrived at the railway station along with his 35-year-old wife Meera and two children last night, DySP Namrata Srivastava said. After the children slept, the couple were engaged in some dispute during which Manjeet killed Meera and escaped, the officer said.

On a complaint by the station master, a murder case has been registered against Manjeet, the DySP said.
