BJP president Amit Shah's ginger group has its plate full going by the elaborate tasks cut out for party panels. From preparing a policy document based on party ideology to countering negative publicity against the Modi Government's policies and schemes or the party, Shah has spelt out the plan of action for BJP leaders in various spheres.
Apart from the Modi government, the BJP too is putting in place a mechanism to tell its side of the story in the face of criticism. The internal communication notes for over a dozen party committees focus on the need for research, documentation, positive campaign and sync between party and its governments, according to sources.

While the committee on good governance has been asked to document the negative news on government policies and schemes, the "political response and feed back" committee has been entrusted the responsibility of aggressively countering the negative publicity by the opposition. The panel has also been asked to keep an eye on political developments and formulate a strategy on tackling issues, after analysing them.
The section dealing with media has been given the charge of ensuring that public debates in the media on various issues and developments are in line with party stands and publishing articles to project the government in favourable light.
According to sources, Shah wants a close coordination between ministers in the Modi government as well as BJP-ruled states and the party and encouragement of their successful schemes and programmes.
The party has been assigned documenting policy related research, identify differences and similarities in policies of state governments and assist in preparing the party's vision documents after examining contents of manifesto of various states and parties.
For the Overseas Friends of BJP, the party leadership's list of tasks include ensuring the ministry of external affairs, overseas friends and BJP are in sync, having dialogue with parties across world and convey "right image" of party, keeping in touch with NRIs of various states and creating an environment to ensure that overseas friends retain allegiance to party.
The Legal department has been asked to ensure party representation in cases relating to BJP.
Ideate positive campaign
The IT, webside and social media department has been asked to ensure that the party's influence on social media is retained, evolve ideas for positive campaign, publicise activities of morchas, strategise to increase followers, ensure that no "wrong" messages are put on party's social media platforms and prevent hacking.
