Absconding rapist held in Jammu

A man, who was allegedly involved in the rape case of a teenaged girl last year in Miran Sahib area of Jammu district, was arrested today on the outskirts of the city, police said.

Tarseem Lal allegedly raped the victim on September 18, 2011 and had gone absconding since then. A case was registered against him and later an arrest warrant was also issued against him.

Further probes are on into the case, they added.
