Parineeti Chopra afraid of Alia Bhatt?

2011 Parineeti Chopra made her debut in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl as one of the protagonists. She made an immediate impact with her vivaciousness and spunky performance. The YRF protege followed it up with many solid performances (Ishaqzaade, Shuddh Desi Romance and Hasee Toh Phasee) and soon became a much sought-after actress. She was being described as ‘the next Kajol’.

2012 Alia Bhatt made her debut in a glamorous avatar in the Karan Johar film Student Of The Year. She was one of the protagonists. She was an overnight star. In her second film (Highway), she shattered the myth that the newbie was just another pretty face. Alia delivered a performance far too mature for someone her age. Within just two years, she has grabbed the attention of the filmmakers and the audiences. Alia has proved that she is an actress, not just a star. With promos of her third film Two States, the writing is on the wall. There is no stopping Alia.

The Bhatt girl is suddenly a threat to all the actresses out there, who hadn’t even considered her as a rival. But she is the biggest threat to Parineeti. Because before Alia, if a filmmaker wanted a ‘20-something performing actress’ there was no choice but Pari. Now here’s Alia as well.
