Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach won the title of Miss Universe 2015 in a dramatic ending to the pageant!
Miss USA Olivia Jordon, Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez and Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach made it to the top three contestants for Miss Universe 2015. But the host, comedian Steve Harvey read his cue cards wrong and announced Miss Columbia as the winner. Later, realising his mistake, he announced that Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, originally named the first runner-up, had actually won the pageant!
,
Miss Philippines was then escorted to centre stage and Miss Columbia was stripped of the crown.

Steve Harvey later took to Twitter to apologise for his mistake -
I want to apologize emphatically to Miss Philippians and Miss Columbia. This was a terribly honest human mistake and I am so regretful.

But poor Steve continued his streak of gaffes by spelling of both countries wrong! (Another honest human mistake, we presume!)
Over 80 countries competed for the coveted crown in the 64th edition of Miss Universe pageant. It is the show's first edition after the controversial remarks made by former co-owner Donald Trump.
The contestants are judged on swimwear, evening gown and interview competitions. For the first time, viewers had a chance to vote for the winners.
Miss India Urvashi Rautela failed to make it to top 15 semi-finals round, reports Fox news.
Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, American football legend, and winner of 2006 Dancing With the Stars Emmitt Smith, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, and TV personality Niecy Nash were the judges for the pageant this year.
The show saw performances by Charlie Puth and Seal.
