Kamal Haasan's brother Chandrahasan dies of cardiac arrest

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan's elder brother Chandrahasan passed away post suffering a severe cardiac arrest on Saturday night. Reportedly, he breathed his last at his daughter Anu Hasan's London residence at the age of 82.

Chandrahasan is younger brother of Charuhasan, father of actress Suhasini. Though he was a practising lawyer by profession before joining the showbiz and had stood by Kamal during trying times when there was a ban on his film Vishwaroopam. He held the position of the executive producer at the Raaj Kamal International banner.

As per an Indian Express report, Kamal had once said that he wouldn’t have made so many quality films under the Raaj Kamal International, without the guidance of his elder brother, Chandrahasan. 

Earlier, in January this year, Chandrahasan's wife Geethamani had also passed away at the age of 73. He is survived by his daughter Anu Hasan who's also an actor and TV host.
