Hrithik Roshan's 'Mohenjo Daro' is a collosal disaster at the box office

Mohenjo Daro clashed with Rustom last Friday and the verdict is out. While the Akshay Kumar starrer has performed brilliantly at the ticket windows, Hrithik Roshan's period saga met with disastrous results at the BO. 

After opening to a dismal Rs 8.87 crore on the opening day, the film faced slow growth over the weekend. After the first weekend, the film recorded a 3 day total of around Rs 30 crore nett. Independence Day holidays too could not help the film and it is now struggling at the box office.

Mohenjo Daro was a washout in the weekdays with figures dropping to a shocking Rs 3-4 crore range. That's disappointing considering that Hrithik enjoys supreme fan following in the country. 

With the film now struggling to hit the Rs 60 crore mark, it will be one of the biggest disasters this year. Although it isn't as bad as Bombay Velvet, the film will be a huge flop at the BO, given its huge investment.
