The speculations about who all will be performing at the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are gaining momentum with Elton John rescheduling his tour dates of May 19.

Now it is being speculated that Ed Sheeran has been personally asked to perform.

According to a report by Us Weekly, Prince Harry has requested Sheeran help him celebrate the couple's special day come this summer.

It is yet to be clear whether that request has been accepted until the official list comes out before the nuptials. After receiving his MBE in December, Sheeran was asked if he will be performing at the wedding and he said, "Yeah, why not."

But in another interview, the Shape of You star had said that he will perform if he was free and he also added that he barely knows Prince Harry to be personally asked about performing at the wedding. 'I get asked this all the time like I know the Royal family. I've met Harry once -  that was in 2011 at his grans' Jubilee, and it was like, 'Hey.' 'Hey'... I barely know him!'

Turns out, Sheeran is not free on May 19. He is scheduled to perform at a concert in Dublin, Ireland that day. Will he reschedule just like Elton John did?

If he is not free, then another star-studded performance can be lined up since Geri Horner aka Ginger Spice of Spice Girls had said that she is interested in getting the gang together to perform as Meghan Markle is a fan of the former girl band.

It is certain that one big name from music industry will be there since Prince William and Kate Middleton got Ellie Goulding to perform at their wedding in 2011. The Love Me Like You Do star performed a cover of Elton John's romantic ballad 'Your Song.'
