They say that examination pressure gets to students, and this case cites how tough the surroundings can be for those taking board exams.  A 16-year-old boy died, reportedly of a heart attack before his first SSC paper, which was scheduled to be held today i.e. March 1.

The fateful incident took place on Wednesday night in Mumbai’s central suburb of Dadar. The boy, Rutvik Ghadshi, a student from Shishuvihar School in Dadar, was scheduled to take his SSC examinations today.

Dr Avinash Supe, Dean of KEM Hospital, Parel said, "On Wednesday night, Rutvcik was brought to the hospital, but he was declared death on arrival. As the victim was brought dead, I cannot confirm whether he died of heart attack. We have conducted the post-mortem and handed over the body to his family. The report will be submitted to local police station".

Speaking with DNA, Rutvick's maternal uncle Prakash Gawale said, "Around 1.30 am, his family realised that something was wrong with Rutvick. They rushed him to KEM hospital, where doctors said his heart had already stopped. He had a heart attack and we didn’t realise that it had occurred. We are shocked. Rutvick did not have any exam pressure neither was he ill", Gawale said.

Earlier in February, ahead of the board exams for Class 10 and 12, PM Narendra Modi interacted with students to advise them in beating exam stress.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked all schools to make necessary arrangements for the programme to be made available for students through TV or radio on February 16.

As per the circular sent by CBSE, questions that students ask should to be specifically about ways to beat exam stress. They can submit their questions on MyGov website, like the questions for "Mann ki Baat" are taken.

"Students of Classes 6 onwards will be allowed to listen to or watch the programme in schools. It will be aired through All India Radio channels, DD National and streamed live on the YouTube channel of MHRD," a CBSE circular sent in this regard on Thursday read.
